Well, I think it's time I start updating again. I mean, there's been plenty of cooking experiments of late, and I've picked up a new hobby: sewing! Plus, gardening season is about to get into full swing, so there's plenty of stuff to blog about regarding that. In fact, I'd better get out and take some pictures of the yard for a little before-and-after action. The veggie garden always gets the craziest transformation.
So what's all this sewing business about? Well, I'm in desperate nesting mode for the new baby and have taken it upon myself to sew all the newborn/small cloth diapers we'll need. I didn't care for the style we used when Pear was small, so we've decided to upgrade but keep it inexpensive. Hence, crash-course in sewing.
On the gardening front, I've been cleaning out our front yard flower garden, digging up the veggie beds, and assembling a monster of a compost pile. I was really lazy last year with the weeds, so they have taken over and it's been a hell of a lot of work to get them all dug up. Organic gardening seems to include a lot of ass-busting lately! And let me add that bending over to pull up weeds while five months pregnant well... kind sucks.
Oh, and: where is spring?!? It's a month late! I compared last years' flower pictures to right now, and there is a month difference. Ack!
